Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort is introducing couples' packages – an unusual strategy for resorts in the area that tend to focus on the family-oriented fun provided by the nearby Disney attractions.
Among the activities offered as part of the “Couples' Week” packages, there are bi-weekly cocktail-making classes in addition to dinner-and-movie nights.
Another package “Couple Stay & Play” entitles guests to a guestroom on a couples-only floor, two welcome cocktails, a late check out of 2pm, unlimited in-room movies and a choice of a 50-minute spa treatment, golf or tennis lesson for two.
“This package gives couples the perfect excuse to check in without kids in tow,” said Thomas Steinhauer, general manager. “It’s true there’s a lot of families to do in Orlando, but there’s also so much fun for adults to experience.”
The 26-acre (10.5-hectare) resort features six restaurants, an 18-hole Tom Fazio golf course and a 18-treatment room spa with six couples’ suites.
The resort originally opened last year.
