Illyria Wellness creates gourmet spa breaks at Hotel Monte Mulini |
|
By Lauren Heath-Jones 25 Sep 2019 |
The Hotel Monte Mulini will offer new treatments and spa packages inspired by Croatia's rich tradition of winemaking and gin distillation
|
Hotel Monte Mulini, a boutique hotel and spa in Rovinj, Croatia, has partnered with spa consultancy, Illyria Wellness, to create two new signature spa treatments.
Inspired by the region's rich tradition of winemaking and gin distillation, the treatments consist of two massage rituals, called Wine Vault Full Body Rejuvenation and Gin and Tonic On The Rocks: Juniper Bundle and Stone Massage, and incorporate wine extracts and gin-inspired botanicals.
Wine Vault Rejuvenation is a 75-minute ritual, costing €138 (£122, $151), that is designed to revitalise guests. It combines dry brushing with detoxifying massage techniques and products derived from grapes and cold-pressed grape seed oil.
Gin & Tonic on the Rocks: Juniper Bundle and Stone Massage is a 90-minute ritual, costing €154 (£136 ,$169), that uses volcanic hot stones and herbal poultices, using native herbs, including juniper, rosemary, sage and thyme.
Gregory Ugrin, director and co-owner of Illyria Wellness, said: "Signature Spa Treatments are a powerful device often underutilized both in terms of their potential to reinforce a hospitality brand’s thematic strengths, as well as in terms of the opportunity to convert people who might not ordinarily order a spa service into a happy service buyer."
"We believe every spa and wellness center can and should leverage truly bespoke spa services to advance the brand narrative, serve as 'on-ramps' for first-time service buyers, earn word-of-mouth buzz to get on the ‘bucket list’ of future travellers, and, ultimately, improve business KPIs in the spa."
In addition, the hotel has launched Gourmet Spa Break packages, based on the new treatments. The breaks begin from €421 (£372, $462) per person and will run from 12 September to 3 November 2019 and 5 April to 1 November 2020.
The Wine Vault package includes the Full Body Rejuvenation treatment for two people, as well as a five-course meal at the Wine Vault restaurant, while the Gin & Tonic package includes a welcome cocktail and gin and tonics in the hotel's Gin Library.
Both offer free access to the Monte Mulini Wellness Centre and Lone Wellness and Spa Centre, as well as a á la carte breakfast. Guests will also receive a fifteen per cent discount on additional spa and wellness treatments.
Lovorka Struna, general manager at the Hotel Monte Mulini, said: "With our new Signature Spa Treatments we can curate an ideal getaway for the discerning traveller with a perfect alignment of luxurious wellness therapies and gourmet taste experiences."
