Emaar Hospitality to unveil beachfront spa with rooftop infinity pool in Dubai |
|
By Megan Whitby 07 Aug 2020 |
The wellness and fitness facility will be found on the hotel’s 75th floor and is scheduled for completion in Q3 of 2020
|
Spa consultant, The Wellness, is creating a new spa and gym for the upcoming Address Jumeirah Resort and Spa, in Dubai.
Developed by Emaar Hospitality Group, the beachfront destination will comprise of a duo of 310-foot-tall individual towers interconnected by lower and upper bridges: The Address Residences Jumeirah Resort and Spa and The Residences Jumeirah Dubai.
The Wellness is helming the project as spa and fitness consultant, to design and create an approximately 920sq m spa and attached 700sq m fitness facility found on the 75th floor. It is also acting as the interior design consultant for a separate approximately 300sq m gym.
The consultancy has created the new spa with segregated gender facilities including saunas, steam rasuls, experience showers, steamrooms, ice fountains with heated benches and scrub rooms with Vichy showers.
Barr + Wray have been awarded the fit-out contract for the signature spa’s thermal facilities, with Derek Barton, Barr + Wray managing director MEA commenting: “Barr + Wray are delighted to add a sixth Address location to their project portfolio.”
The spa will feature eight treatment rooms and accommodate couples’ treatments in a dedicated suite, with a steam rasul and tub.
Facilities will also include a rooftop infinity pool offering unrivalled 360-degree-views of Dubai’s skyline.
The destination will integrate a 182-room hotel branded by luxury five-star Address Hotels + Resorts, 496 fully-serviced apartments and 479 luxury residences within two 77-storey buildings.
The Wellness is working with the architecture firm, Killa Design, and interior design consultant, KCA, to deliver the project. All three firms are based in Dubai. The beach-front tower has been designed as an ellipse with a void in the centre that serves to increase daylight penetration. It is also positioned to ensure no obstructions to neighbouring towers.
Emaar Hospitality Group owns the property and has opened a collection of hotels in Dubai under the name Address Hotels + Resorts, including Address Sky View and Address Fountain Views.
According to Address, the entire destination is scheduled for completion in Q4 of 2020, and, at the time of writing, the group reports the project is just over 47 per cent complete.
