Clive McNish returns to GOCO as group operations director |
|
By Megan Whitby 17 Aug 2020 |
McNish first worked for GOCO in 2014, when he joined as GM of GOCO Retreat Niutuo in Beijing
|
GOCO Hospitality has announced that Clive McNish is returning to the company to assume the new position of group director - operations.
McNish first worked for GOCO in 2014, when he joined as GM of GOCO Retreat Niutuo in Beijing, China, before becoming the company’s corporate GM and then assuming the GM role at Glen Ivy Hot Springs in 2016.
At Glen Ivy, McNish led a three-phase, multi-million dollar renovation project that helped position the hot springs resort as the highest-grossing US day spa with approximately US$30m of annual revenue and more than 220,000 visitors per year.
After nearly four years at Glen Ivy, McNish returned to Thailand to re-adopt his role as GM at Kamalaya Wellness Resort in Koh Samui, Thailand. Prior to his career at GOCO, McNish served for four years as wellness director and GM at the Thai resort.
McNish’s new role as group operations director will require him to apply his operational experience to ensure the successful opening, operation and management of all GOCO Hospitality-branded spas and retreats.
“We’re excited to see Clive return and share his industry knowledge as he assumes the new role in our corporate office,” said Ingo Schweder, GOCO Hospitality CEO and founder.
“I really enjoy working with Clive and know his industry experience, combined with over 20 years in management positions, will add meaningful contributions to our upcoming projects in Kazakhstan, China, UAE, Norway and Thailand.”
