New Chelsea retirement residence to champion active ageing with tailor made wellness programming and 24/7 care

In September 2021, a luxury development for over 65s will open in London designed to change the way we value ageing with wellness programming centred around cellular health – masterminded by The Kyros Project.

Named Auriens, the Chelsea property will encompass 56 private apartments with living spaces and wellness facilities claimed to be worthy of a five-star hotel. These will include a spa, high spec gym, swimming pool, restaurant, wine cellar, cinema, hairdresser and more.

Auriens will be run by hoteliers with experience at luxury hospitality institutions such as Claridge’s, Goodwood, Mustique, The Connaught and The Savoy.

The mission is to redefine later living by enriching the lives of residents with high-quality services focused on fostering exceptional health and wellbeing

Auriens has partnered with Kyros Project’s team of specialists in fitness, nutrition and physiology to champion active ageing and take the guesswork away for residents by curating their personalised active ageing, wellness journey around cellular health.

Under Kyros Project’s careful guidance and after a personal assessment, a holistic programme will be put together for each resident to promote optimum health and wellbeing.

“We’ll work closely with residents, getting to know them and their personal requirements in addition to clinically assessing bio-markers of cellular health, stress, nutrition and inflammation,” commented Gideon Remfry, Auriens’ director of wellness and co-founder of Kyros Project.

“This will enable us to create unique programmes including the best elements of specific exercise, physical therapy, delicious food and relaxing spa treatments”.

Remfry will be supported by The Kyros Project’s team of co-founders:

– Pharmacist and medical nutritionist Aidan Goggins – author of The Sirtfood Diet and food industry figure – will lead the Kyros nutrition approach at Auriens. This will range from liaising with in-house chefs to help prepare delicious healthy ageing food to using cutting-edge blood work to accurately identify resident's nutritional needs and cellular ecosystems

– Ben Williams, physiologist and experienced multidisciplinary team leader, will head up all things physiology at Auriens. Williams is a specialist in athletic development and rehabilitation at Elite Sport and is currently the head of human performance for Sir Ben Ainslie’s British Americas Cup Team, INEOS Team UK.

Auriens will also offer on-site healthcare after partnering with Draycott Nursing & Care, which has over 20 years of experience in providing high-quality in-home care. Residents will have access to support 24-hours a day, seven days a week.

Designed by architects PDP London, the building will feature a 4,058sq ft spa with two treatment rooms, an experience shower, sauna, swimming pool, vitality pool and poolside relaxation areas, as well as separate sex changing rooms and a fitness studio.

Residents will be offered a selection of spa treatments supplied by Voya, Dr Murad and Margaret Dabbs. Nail services supplied by Jessica Nails will also be provided

Upon opening in September, the Auriens apartments will have five to 10 residents, with a further three to five residents set to move in each month thereafter.
