Cape of Senses spa hideaway opening on shores of Lake Garda this July
By Megan Whitby 05 Jun 2023

Cape of Senses, Lake Garda’s upcoming five-star, adult-only spa hideaway, is due to open its doors in South Tyrol on 8 July 2023.

Situated 200 metres above Lake Garda on the east side, the Torri del Benaco retreat will feature 55 suites and a 2,000sq m Senses Spa – all designed by architects and interior designers, Hugo Demetz and Alessia Demetz.

The team chose to work with soft colour palettes, warm lighting and contemporary furnishings to create a tranquil healing space while also showcasing spectacular views of the lake and mountains with floor-to-ceiling windows throughout.

Key features will range from private pools, jacuzzis and free-standing bathtubs to wellbeing rooms, sunbathing and lounge areas, rooftop terraces and gazebos for watching the sunset and stargazing.

The Cape of Senses spa will offer a holistic spa concept with a range of facilities including pools, a sauna, a fitness area, relaxation rooms and seven treatment rooms as well as a private spa suite.

A variety of treatments will be on offer powered by products from Italian botanical spa and skincare brand Mei (migliore erbe italiane) which are designed to engage the senses while encouraging long-lasting wellbeing.

In-between treatments, guests will be able to enjoy the spa library or take a stroll in the spa garden which includes a yoga platform.

Additional relaxation spaces will be on offer including outdoor, private heated infinity pool and jacuzzi with full 180-degree views overlooking the lake, or venture inside to the connected indoor pool.

Alina Deutsch, general manager, said: “We’re delighted about the imminent opening of Cape of Senses, Lake Garda.

“With our out-of-this-world views, incredible sunsets and spa hideaway sensory concept, we look forward to welcoming guests for the first time this summer and providing them with a blissful, Italian experience.”

Cape of Senses will also be home to two restaurants, where guests will experience fine dining and locally sourced Mediterranean cuisine at either the lake-view Al Tramonto or traditional Osteria La Pergola restaurants.

Alternatively, guests will be able to enjoy breakfast at the rooftop garden or in the comfort of their private suites. A lounge bar and bistro area serving light refreshments will complete the offering.

To connect guests with their setting, the lakefront resort will provide a range of year-round, on-site activities and local experiences, available to book through the hotel’s concierge service. These will include tours to Verona (25 minutes away), Torri del Benaco, Garda, Venice and Milan plus activities including hiking tours, golf, yoga and meditation.
