Xercise4Less to push ahead with 7 new sites
By Jak Phillips 28 Jan 2015
The Brierley Hill Xercise4Less, which launches on Friday (30 January), features 40 treadmills
Xercise4Less, the 21st fastest growing private company in Britain, is to launch seven new clubs by the end of April as it bids to make good on its target of 100 sites by the end of 2016.

The rollout kicks off on 30 January, when the low cost gym chain cuts the ribbon on its new 35,000sq ft (3,252sq m) Brierley Hill site in the West Midlands. Matrix is the main supplier for all of the new gyms, with Brierley Hill to feature 400 pieces of equipment and sections including a Ladies Only Gym, Free Weights area, Combat Zone and Cardio area.

Xercise4Less will then debut six more sites across the country before the end of April, with Glasgow Saucie Hall, Edinburgh West, Stoke, Gateshead, Milton Keynes and North Shields all to open with monthly memberships of £9.99.

The chain is aiming for a rapid upscale buoyed by strong financial backing. Xercise4Less recently attracted a further £5m equity investment from the Business Growth Fund (BGF), in addition to an increased debt facility of £20m with Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking and a further £6m in asset finance and leasing facilities.

“At Xercise4Less we understand the needs of our members, so we’re here to ensure people of all ages and fitness levels can benefit from our great facilities, with cost not being a barrier,” said Xercise4Less CEO Jon Wright, who founded the chain in 2006.

“We’re delighted with our further expansion across the UK and will continue to deliver the highest quality at the best price to suit our members”.
