Asian hospitality operator Avani has today (1 March) expanded its new brand, Avani+, by launching its first hotel in Luang Prabang – a UNESCO World Heritage Site in northern Laos.
Founded in 2011, the company is one of the fastest-growing brands to come out of Asia, having launched 23 properties in 15 countries, including Thailand, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Mozambique, the United Arab Emirates and Portugal.
In a statement, the firm said its new brand “encompasses a selection of hotels and resorts showcasing the next level in style, design and facilities, each telling its own unique story so that guests will discover a little something extra, from architecture to design to location.”
Avani+ Luang Prabang is situated at the heart of the historic city, steps from the Mekong River, Royal Palace and Night Market in a building designed to evoke the villas constructed by the French during their occupation of the region.
The interior design similarly takes inspiration from the French neoclassical style, with 53 guest rooms and suites reflecting “an intimate, open-plan feel with French-styled louvred wooden doors that open to a balcony or terrace overlooking either the pool or a private courtyard.”
The hotel features an AvaniFit health club, a pool bar, yoga studios and an AvaniSpa. The latter offers two single and two double treatment rooms with a communal relaxation area. In a “straightforward yet individual approach to wellness”, guests’ problematic body zones will be assessed and a treatment recommended, chosen from one of four results-driven options: Boost, Balance, Calm and Purify.
“Avani+ hotels will elevate themselves by being more than just a unique design or the perfect city centre location,” said Alejandro Bernabé, vice president of operations for Avani Hotels & Resorts. “We have always focused on offering the details that matter to our guests and Avani+ will take that to the next level, infusing more style and taking a non-standard approach to our upscale hotel concept, going beyond providing premium facilities, amenities, and service.
“We are absolutely delighted to introduce Avani+ with the launch of Avani+ Luang Prabang and we look forward to announcing additional Avani+ hotels over the coming months.”
