A new luxury spa has opened at the Carmel Valley Ranch resort in Carmel, California, US.
The 10,500sq ft (975sq m) Spa Aiyana will offer three double treatment suites with fireplaces, eight deluxe spa treatment rooms, a manicure and pedicure salon, a large swimming pool, infinity spa pool, private cabanas, and relaxation area featuring fire pits.
The design of the spa follows a garden theme - the word Aiyana being the Native American term for "eternal flower".
The spa menu is inspired by four different gardens - Lavender, Herb, Aiyana and Alchemist - and incorporates fresh herbs, botanical extracts, and floral, aromatic and herbal oils.
Services include massage, body, facial and couples treatments.
The spa also boasts a wellness programme, encouraging guests to "interact with nature" by offering yoga on a purpose-built hilltop yoga platform - as well as
hiking and meditative walks.
There is also a large health and fitness suite.
Other amenities at the Carmel Valley Ranch include an 18-hole championship golf course.
