A new UK spa facility is to open to the public in mid-January as part of the University of Derby’s Buxton campus.
The spa will be used to promote expertise and excellence in spa therapy.
It is situated beneath the Devonshire campus – which used to be the Devonshire Royal Hospital and occupies an area which formerly consisted of hydrotherapy rooms.
Boasting both wet and dry areas, the Devonshire Spa has eight treatment rooms in the dry therapy section with a monsoon shower, ice fountain and two treatment rooms in the wet treatment area.
Therapies on offer will include dry floatation, hammam and hydrotherapy while other facilities will include a sauna and steamroom.
Elemis will be the sole educational brand partner to the spa, which will boast Elemis concept treatments including deep tissue massage and facials.
