Snow sports village Mount Hotham Resort, in Victoria, Australia, has opened the AUS$500,000 (£212,840) White Mountain Spa Retreat – a luxury day spa close to the mountain’s summit.
Helen Moran, commercial general manager, said: “We aim to take Hotham to the next level and make it a sophisticated alpine village that everyone – not just skiers and boarders – will love to come to.
“The White Spa will offer all resort visitors a new experience in relaxed extravagance.”
Designed by Italian architect Giovanni D’Ambrosio, with floor-to-ceiling glass walls, the White Mountain Spa Retreat comprises four treatment rooms, including an aqua therapy room and a lounge area.
More commonly referred to as the White Spa, the facility will offer a comprehensive range of treatments, from remedial massage and warm rock therapy to facials, body wraps and reiki.
The site is owned Lisa Parkinson and Alison McKwan, who share 14 years experience in beauty and massage therapy, and will be staffed by 11 therapists.
White Spa also offers a range of retreat packages and homecare products. Details: www.hotham.com.au
