Emirates Hotels and Resorts has announced it is to invest US$253m (189m euro, £128m) in a new project in Mahe, the Seychelles.
A joint agreement for the Emirates Cap Ternay Resort and Spa has been agreed between HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, chair and chief executive of Emirates and Joseph Belmont, Vice-President and Minister for Tourism and Transport of the Seychelles.
The resort will include a Timeless Spa – a concept first developed at the Emirates Al Maha, Dubai. It will feature 10 double treatment rooms providing hydrotherapies alongside a gym and a health food restaurants.
Construction of the resort will begin early next year and the development will be split over two areas – one featuring 186 rooms and the other featuring 230 deluxe rooms.
