A new US$2.5m (1.93m euro, £1.27m) Mandara Spa is to open in June as part of the Monarch Hotel development, on Sheikh Zayed Road, opposite the World Trade Centre in Dubai.
Managed by Mandara Spa, the facility will have seven single treatment rooms and two double spa suites plus male and female relaxation lounges and hydrotherapy rooms.
Treatments will feature a range of massages, scrubs and baths alongside traditional Thai treatments, ayurvedic and herbal remedies.
The spa will also host the launch of a new Mandara holistic detoxification treatment called Crystal Dreamtime, which combines vibrational energy, colour, aromatherapy, harmonic sound and mineral energy.
All staff for the new spa will undergo intensive training from Mandara Spa’s in-house training school.
Designed by US-based architects BBG-BBGM, the Mandara group was also involved in the final interior design of the spa.
The hotel and spa will be owned by Kuwait-based Refad Hotels & Resorts while the spa will be managed by Mandara Spa.
Mandara Spa is currently in negotiations regarding a number of contracts in Dubai and the Middle East and has openings planned in Malaysia, Kazakhstan and the Maldives.
