Image: The Touch Spa has four treatment roomsMarriott International has announced the launch of the 383-bedroom Renaissance Shanghai Caohejing Hotel - the group's sixth Renaissance-branded hotel opened in the Chinese city.
The hotel is managed in partnership with Shanghai Caohejing Park Huagang Properties and includes the 360sq m (3,875sq ft) Touch Spa housing four treatment rooms and a foot massage lounge.
Karen Wang Interior Consultant led the interior design of the hotel, including the spa. Biodroga and Come True products are used in the treatments at the spa, which is operated by Touch Spa.
A 24-hour fitness centre includes cardiovascular equipment and free weights, while personal trainers are also available. Facilities also include an indoor pool, a sauna and a steamroom.
Elsewhere, Renaissance Shanghai Caohejing Hotel boasts extensive meeting and event space - including a 570sq m (6,135sq ft) Grand Ballroom - and four destination restaurants.
Marriott International, Asia president and managing director Simon Cooper said: "The opening of the Renaissance Shanghai Caohejing cements our position as the dominant player in Shanghai, representing our 19th hotel in this vibrant city."
