Julie Narouz, spa manager at the Noosa Springs Resort in Queensland, Australia, has begun providing work placement experience for local beauty therapy diploma students.
The spa currently has three beauty therapy students, each experiencing 120 hours of work placement including training in a range of water based treatments and relaxation experiences as well as massage and body treatments.
As Narouz explains: "By doing this, we help to ensure the industry is well-represented in establishing an understanding with our new spa professionals to maintain standards."
The spa at Noosa Springs opened in April 2007 and contains a total of nine treatment rooms alongside flotation pools. Spa product house Babor is used for treatments. Details: noosasprings.com.au
