Spa operator Steiner Leisure has announced a 24.6 per cent rise in revenue for the first quarter of 2010.
Reporting its financial figures for the three months to 31 March, the group revealed revenues of US$146m (?110m, £96m), up from US$117m (?77m, £88m) a year before.
Net income for the period was US$9.7m (?7.3m, £6.3m), compared with US$7.9m (?5.2m, £5.9m) for the same quarter in 2009.
Steiner attributed the increases largely on the additional revenue from Bliss World Holdings, which it acquired on 31 December 2009.
The group's operations include shipboard and land-based spas and salons. It currently has operations on 128 cruise ships and 68 land-based spas, managed under its Elemis, Mandara, Chavana, Bliss and Remede brands.
