A US$4.5m (£2.4m, 3.5m euro) new spa has opened at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines destination resort in Texas, US.
Covering 18,000sq ft (1,700sq m), Spa Django is situated within the 405-acre resort which also features a hotel, an 18-hole signature golf course designed by Arthur Hills, a water park including a 1,000ft (304m) flowing river pool and eight restaurants and bars.
Spa treatments at Django draw inspiration from the environment and include the use of natural remedies such as Aomatic Romany healing herbs and indigenous plants.
Therapies will include the signature Spa Django Scrub, which uses customised iPods to set the client’s mood before a percussion exfoliation with raw sugar is applied. A wrap and scalp treatment then take place, before the treatment finishes with a 75 minute massage, taking in a variety of rhythms and tempos.
Periods of awareness during this signature massage are highlighted with the vibration of individual instruments on the client’s iPod, with the intention of affecting the body on a cellular level.
Other facilities at Spa Django include a gym, a studio, mixed steam and dry saunas, Vichy showers and meditation rooms plus a spa pool with country views.
Spa brands will include Epicurean, Spa Ritual, Anakiri and True. Details: www.hyatt.com
