Thermae Spa has been advised by the project management team at Bath & North East Somerset Council that the outstanding building work on the Thermae Bath Spa in the UK will be completed by the beginning of May.
Once the building has been handed over, the operator will require a few weeks to perform the final fit-out and train staff on site before opening the facility.
The spa will comprise three thermal baths; eight massage rooms; 12 treatment rooms; an aroma steamroom and yoga, meditation and pilates classes.
Plans for the project, designed to restore Bath’s historic thermal spas for public use, were revealed in 2000, but since then construction has been beset by delays. The spa was due to open in 2003. Details: www.thermaebathspa.co.uk
