The 391-bedroom Trump SoHo New York hotel will open its doors in the city’s Lower Manhattan district on 1 February 2010.
Designed by Handel Architects, the hotel will become the fifth site in the Trump Hotel Collection – a portfolio of luxury properties owned by US entrepreneur Donald Trump.
Facilities at Trump SoHo New York will include a Spa at Trump-branded beauty spa, three high-end restaurants and more than 12,000sq ft of meeting and event space.
The hotel has been developed in partnership between the Trump Organization, New York-based developer The Sapir Organization and real estate company Bayrock Group.
Rockwell Group was appointed to design the hotel’s distinctive lobby and library areas, while the restaurants be operated by Miami-based hospitality group KNR – owned by Karim Masri, Nicola Siervo, Nicola Schon and Rony Seikaly.
The 11,000sq ft Spa at Trump will be located on the hotel’s seventh and eight floors and will house separate hammams for men and women.
Designed by New York-based DiGuiseppe Architecture, the spa will have nine treatment rooms – some of which will be outdoor – as well as a number of wet rooms and outdoor relaxation rooms.
There will also be three purpose-built spa suites with their private, double treatment rooms on the eight floor.
Treatments have been branded as a Trump Personal Intention, with guests choosing from a range which includes Calm, Balance, Purify, Heal and Revitalize. The treatments use products from the Shiffa, Tara and Jamu lines.
