Thailand-based hospitality group Anantara Resorts group has launched two new promotions at its Koh Samui and Si Kao properties.
At Anantara Koh Samui, guests can learn the techniques and philosophies of Muay Thai under the guidance of an ex-professional boxer.
Classes are led by trainer Chueng Pinijnart and are offered as a one-hour introductory session, or up to a one-week course. Taking place in the gardens surrounding the resort, Muay Thai is the traditional form of Thai boxing that combines self-defence techniques and sport.
Participants learn how to use different parts of their body as a weapon - not just their fists and legs, but also their knees, elbows, hands, and chin.
There is also a new Wellness 360 Sentiré Retreat at Anantara Si Kao Resort & Spa in Thailand. Running from 5-12 October and 12-19 October, the retreats feature experts in health and wellness, yoga, Pilates and a range of spa cuisine menus.
The packages also include seven nights accommodation, transfers, daily Pilates and yoga classes and Anantara Spa's signature Sentiré Shiatsu and Massage treatment. Details: anantara.com
