Holistic cosmetics company Alqvimia has launched a limited edition of its body tonic called Queen of Hungary Water, to celebrate the brand’s 40th anniversary.
The solution is one of the company’s first beauty elixirs, originally released in 1985. It has become a recognisable emblem of the brand.
The new matte black glass flask serves as a collector’s item, with gold-stamped illustrations.
The artwork represents the key steps in the art of spagyria, the process of separating, purifying and mixing active ingredients used in medicinal herbal remedies.
Drawings of the sun and moon feature on the bottle, representing the fusion of opposites and the harmony between body, soul and spirit.
Fire under a central flask is also a part of the imagery found on the flask, showing the energetic transformation required to create the purified product.
Since its original formulation, the solution has featured ingredients such as rosemary and natural essential oils from lavender, frankincense, lemon, clove and myrrh.
The tonic is designed to oxygenate and prepare the skin to enhance subsequent treatments. It is also said to have a transformational impact on guests’ emotions, elevating their mood and combating physical and mental fatigue.
Drolma Lizcano, CEO of Alqvimia, said, “The most important thing in business, and in life, is to do things with love. When you connect your decisions and actions to your heart, as well as your mind, the outcome will almost always transform into something positive.”
The 150ml bottle’s recommended retail price is €73.30 (US$86, £63).
