Skincare company ESPA will be supporting October's breast cancer awareness month by donating money from sales of its Pink Hair & Scalp Mud product to the Breast Cancer Campaign.
From the RRP of £29.00 for a 180ml jar of the hair and body treatment, the company will be contributing £3.00 to the campaign from September 2007.
The charity’s aim is to find a cure for breast cancer by funding research that looks at improving the diagnosis and treatment of the disease, better understanding of how it develops, and - ultimately - either curing or preventing it.
ESPA CEO and founder, Susan Harmsworth, says: "I was devastated to learn that one woman in nine in the UK will develop breast cancer during her lifetime.
"It’s a frightening statistic but I’m delighted that we can do our bit to support the charity's vital work."
ESPA Pink Hair & Scalp Mud combines ingredients including mineral-rich red and white clays, apricot kernel and watercress blended with iron, iodine and vitamins A & C to create a conditioner and moisturiser that works on dry, damaged or chemically treated hair.
It also acts as a skin conditioner to soften and soothe dry skin on elbows and knees.
