An elegant, low-tech alternative to noisy thrones or jets, the Pedicure Bowl from the Canadian company of the same name is designed to enhance the decor of any spa or salon.
Available in several colours - with more shades and combinations currently at the planning stage - the bowl has a non-absorbent and scratch-resistant surface and is designed to be freestanding, although it can easily be drilled for plumbing and drainage.
The bowl is 18in in diameter at the top, with a 14in flat base, and is big enough to accommodate size 14 feet.
Weighing 5.5lbs/2.5kgs and measuring 8.5in deep, the bowl comes in a stylish, padded carrycase which has a zippered inside pocket for treatment supplies.
Commenting, Pedicure Bowl creator Noel Asmar says:
“Consumers are increasingly concerned about the health and sanitation issues which arise around the jets in the spa-throne.
"Similar concerns are being voiced about the portable motorized foot-bath, which also lacks elegance from a branding image perspective.
"I wanted to create something which was hygienic, substantial and more beautiful than anything currently available. A pedicure is - after all - a luxury beauty service.”
