Trybe launches self-service contactless check-in kiosks

Hospitality industry software company Trybe has launched a self-service check-in kiosk and wearable wristband technology for streamlined reservation verification and cashless payments throughout the guest journey.

Guests scan a QR code at the Trybe self-service kiosk and the system verifies the booking without queues or paperwork.

A personalised radio frequency identification (RFID) wristband is linked to each guest’s profile and payment method. The wearable device becomes a digital key for accessing facilities and enabling cashless payments throughout the guest experience with a tap of their wrist.

The system integrates RFID, automation and real-time data analytics to help operators understand consumer behaviour by tracking facility usage and spend. The digital innovation also improves personalisation for guests and reduces staff workloads.

The re-usable wristbands allow guests to immerse themselves in the facilities without the need for personal belongings, including phones. The need for physical touchpoints is reduced, improving hygiene across facilities.

Guests can leave a gratuity via the kiosk upon departure, before dropping their wristband into a return box to check out effortlessly. The wristbands are then deactivated and prepared for reuse.

Ricky Daniels, Trybe co-founder, said: “The launch of Trybe’s contactless check-in kiosks marks a significant step toward the future of spa and leisure management. It’s about empowering both guests and operators, creating a smoother, smarter and more sustainable experience from start to finish.”

Trybe has piloted this new system at the newly opened destination spa at Ffolkespa, which is part of a pub and hotel business in Norfolk, UK.
