Carolinas Air Museum in Charlotte, North Carolina, US, has been relaunched with a new exhibit dedicated to the "Miracle on the Hudson" and an enhanced visitor experience.
Planning for the two-year renovation started after the museum acquired US Airways flight 1549, the Airbus A-320 which landed on New York's Hudson River in January 2009.
The plane is surrounded by 18 other aircraft and Carolinas Air Museum is also set to open a second hanger to the public with a further eight exhibits at a later date.
Museum president Shawn Dorsch said: "This is a really big step for the museum and represents a significant investment in time and money. It's another game changer."
