By Helen Andrews 26 Feb 2015

Kempinski The Spa will launch at the Kempinski Hotel Nay Pyi Taw in Myanmar in November 2015, following the opening of the property in late 2014.

Spa management company Resense Spa will debut the spa at the 141-bedroom property, which will comprise eight treatment rooms in the estate’s Amarapura villa. The facility will overlook the hotel’s gardens and a traditional 18th century Burmese royal pavilion.

There will also be a fitness centre and outdoor swimming pool.

Kasha Shillington, CEO of Resense, commented: “With spas already in operation in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia, Resense is excited to be working on its first project in Myanmar. This project will set the benchmark for unique and new spa experiences in the region.”

Resense has exclusively revealed to Spa Opportunities that it will be partnering with British skincare brand, Elemental Herbology, to supply a results-driven amenity line exclusively to suites across Kempinski properties. The new ‘Suite Amenity Range" is designed to provide guests with an in-room spa experience and will be branded "prescribed by Resense" on the packaging.

“Our Suite Amenity Line employs the original retail and professional spa formulations in many of the products, offering our guests the best quality experience, in the comfort of their own room," added Shillington.
