Marriott International is to introduce its mid-price Courtyard by Marriott brand to Vietnam under a management agreement announced with CY - Ham Tan Resort Limited Company.
The 200-room Courtyard by Marriott Ham Tan is to be built on a beachfront site at La Gi, near the town of Ham Tan, and will be part of a mixed-used development that will be built in phases. The project will initially include a residential component and will later add additional hotels, more residential units, a golf course and golf villas.
Dining options will include Courtyard's signature MoMo Cafe, a pool bar and grill and a lobby lounge. Among the leisure facilities to be offered are a pool and deck area, recreational pavilion with a Kids Club and games room, as well as an exercise room and spa with six treatment rooms and an area for foot reflexology.
Marriott already has a presence in Vietnam, the company managing the Renaissance Riverside Saigon Hotel and the New World Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
Three further properties are currently planned or under construction - the 450-room JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi and the 250-room Nha Trang Marriott Hotel, both scheduled to open in 2013, and the 271-room JW Marriott Danang Resort expected to open in 2014.
