EuropeActive board member and fitness industry stalwart Herman Rutgers has been named new FIBO Ambassador – the latest sign of the increasingly close collaboration seen between the industry body and the health and fitness trade show. Rutgers has more than 35 years’ international business experience in various markets around the world and served as the first executive director of the European Health & Fitness Association (now EuropeActive). Working on behalf of FIBO, he’ll contribute his expertise to strengthen the sector’s international network, as well as events like the European Health & Fitness Forum – which will again take place in Cologne, Germany on the day before FIBO (8 April 2015). On the close working relationship between FIBO and EuropeActive, Ralph Scholz, FIBO event director, said: “Working together is the best way for us to promote a dialogue within our industry while strengthening the sector overall.”
