Spa Vision has partnered with Britain’s Ye Olde Bell Hotel to design and build a new multi-million-pound, purpose-built spa.
The 17,000sq ft (1,579sq m) spa will include a thermal suite supplied by Kurland featuring a panoramic Swiss pine sauna, stonebath and herbal sauna, steambath, salt cascade experience, rasul, sabbia med (sunlight therapy), snowstorm and feature shower experiences. The spa will also feature an indoor-to-outdoor hydropool from Barr + Wray as well as Germaine de Capuccini products and treatments.
The focus will be on offering specialist spa and wellbeing packages for guests at the 60-bedroom, 17th century hotel, with a goal “to be recognised as one of the finest spa and wellbeing facilities in the UK.”
Spa Vision will advise on the overall concept, design and customer journey through to supply, recruitment and pre-opening support. The Ye Olde Bell project team is headed by Sadie Levack and Lizzie Bath of LB Therapies, who currently operate the in-house treatment offerings within the hotel.
“We are absolutely delighted to be partnering with Spa Vision and LB Therapies to create a world-class spa in addition to our already comprehensive offering,” said Levack. “For a relatively small independent hotel, we’re renowned for a wide range of guests and market segments, including corporate, leisure, conference, weddings and celebrations, and this addition will only further enhance the guest experience.”
Gable Design are the project architects, and co-owner Hilary Levack – who has restored the hotel and restaurant with her partner Paul Levack – is leading the interior design.
“To be involved with the Ye Olde Bell as my first Spa Vision project is a great honour,” said Colin Cameron, who recently joined Spa Vision as director of sales. “The Levack family have carried out a lot of research and were able to communicate to us exactly what they were looking to achieve. I look forward to working with the family and project team in making their vision a reality.”
