Dior and CitySpa Cocoons partner to create 24-hour spa concept with Forest Air breathing stations
By Megan Whitby 23 Sep 2019
Peter Droessel has created a 24-hour wellness concept for Capella’s five-star Breidenbacher Hof hotel in Düsseldorf.
Hotel spa consultant Peter Droessel has created a 24-hour wellness concept for Capella’s five-star Breidenbacher Hof hotel in Düsseldorf, in partnership with Dior.

The concept, CitySpa Cocoons, offers tailored treatments in noiseless circular cocoon treatment rooms to create a relaxing atmosphere.

Also on offer is a Forest Air treatment, using specialist breathing stations from Spiroyal.

Droessel and his team of therapists will manage the spa on behalf of the hotel and will take reservations for treatments up until 11pm. After this, guests contact the spa’s hotline, which connects to a Cocoon holistic therapist.

Guests can also book treatments in advance and visit the hotel’s gym 24 hours a day.

All therapists – referred to as corpiéres – are trained by Droessel.

Droessel told Spa Business: “Guests will benefit from the 24-hour concept, especially if they’re travelling from different time zones.”

The Breidenbacher Hof Hotel has four treatment cocoons and one for consultations. Before treatments, guests have a 15-minute consultation and are offered a complimentary glass of champagne.

Dior is Cocoon’s cosmetic partner and the Düsseldorf location is the only German CitySpa partnered with Dior Homme System, a treatment that has been uniquely tailored to men’s skin.

Dior has partnered with other spas previously such as Es Saadi in Marrakech and Plaza Athénée in France.

“As we’re a business hotel, men are our special target and the Dior Homme System is specially designed to pamper men’s skin," Droessel added.

"Nevertheless, we gladly welcome ladies and each of our other treatments are available for ladies."

CitySpa Cocoons are currently only operating at Capella Breidenbacher Hof but Droessel said he intends to expand the concept to other properties and to work with other operators.
