New Sri Lankan spa offers traditional Ayurvedic treatments |

The recently opened Haritha Villas + Spa is an adults-only boutique resort located in Southeastern Sri Lanka

A hilltop forest spa has opened in Sri Lanka at the recently launched Haritha Villas + Spa resort.
The 3,500sq ft Jungle Spa specialises in Ayurvedic treatments and has two on-site Ayurvedic Doctors who curate individual holistic wellness programmes following consultations.
The in-residence Doctors will also craft guests an individual Ayurvedic menu tailored to their personal needs.
Nilangi Godellage, spa manager, said: “Ayurveda is the ancient healing art of the region and is integral to all our wellness treatments. Ayurvedic wellness practices have existed in Sri Lanka for thousands of years and now with the emergence of modern spas in the country, it has gained prominence among holistic beauty treatments”.
The recently opened Haritha Villas + Spa is an adults-only boutique resort located in Southeastern Sri Lanka with an estate covering 20,000sq m. The destination has nine villas in total; seven of which are sculpted into the hillside, while two enjoy exclusive hilltop locations.
All villas have private butlers – called Villa Masters – and have been designed to embody modern Sri Lankan influences, with minimalist, open interiors that complement outdoor living spaces.
The two-storey Jungle Spa has three treatment rooms and claims to fuse elements of the surrounding nature within all its treatments. The spa menu offers herbal baths, facials, massages, as well as wraps and scrubs.
Treatments are supplied with natural, locally-sourced products alongside Elemis, Margaret Dabbs, Ophis and Link Natural.
Additional facilities include a Vichy shower, sauna, steamroom, 24-hour gym and jacuzzi. The offering is completed by a pavilion where guests can receive unlimited private yoga and meditation classes.
In addition to wellness opportunities, guests are offered a selection of activities ranging from visiting a local sea-turtle hatchery and whale-watching to visiting the local UNESCO world heritage site – called Galle Fort.
