Consumers can now get PT sessions on Gympass

If you're a personal trainer working in the UK, you can now get online PT session bookings from consumers via the Gympass platform via a new service, launching this month.

Gympass – a corporate fitness platform – has added online personal training to its platform for the UK, following a successful launch of the PT service earlier this year in Brazil and the USA.

Gympass clients in the UK can now get up to eight online PT sessions a month as part of their membership.

The new offering has been designed to support PTs who have been forced to move their businesses online as a result of the pandemic, and forms part of the company's response to lockdown.

“We've partnered with some fantastic personal trainers and we expect the demand to be high," says Eamon Lloyd, head of partnerships at Gympass. "One-to-one training is a great way to find motivation and encouragement for those who might otherwise be worried about joining a group class or going to a gym.”

“When Coronavirus forced the lockdown of gyms, we had to pivot to operate effectively,” says Lloyd. “We looked at our consumer base to understand how we could support them, and – through the provision of PT – we've provided a practical solution to meet their needs."

Since the launch in Brazil and the US, 8,000 PT sessions have been completed, with 97 per cent of those reviewed received a five-star rating.

PT is being included in the standard Gympass memberships. Members search for personal trainers, their availability and range of services and specialist areas.

PTs wishing to add themsleves to the Gympass network can do so here.
