Wim Hof appears on Accor’s new Health to Wealth podcast exploring culture of wellbeing |
|
By Megan Whitby 10 May 2022 |
Wim Hof is the name behind the Netherlands-based Innerfire’s Wim Hof Method, a programme that combines cold therapy and conscious breathing as a means to improve overall physical and mental health

Hotel giant Accor has launched a new podcast series exploring hot topics in wellbeing with cutting edge speakers from a wide range of fields.
Health to Wealth brings together thought leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers and health experts to spotlight the importance of integrating wellbeing into all aspects of daily life and business – for industries, companies and individuals. It will also explore the state of global wellbeing and how initiatives across society can contribute to a ‘healthier, wealthier ecosystem’.
The series is part of a wider initiative by Accor which will also include an entrepreneurial start-up challenge in Paris in June and the publication of a white paper later this year.
The motivation for the podcast is linked to the pandemic’s effect on making wellbeing an increasingly important priority for society.
Accor feels the hospitality sector has a major role to play in fostering wellbeing, bringing wellness across every guest journey with a holistic approach. The company feels wellbeing goes beyond spa and fitness and relates to a host of topics ranging from design and nutrition to quality of sleep and local surroundings.
Emlyn Brown, Accor’s global vice-president of wellbeing, says: “We’re excited to debut Health to Wealth and take our mission of care to the next level.
“We’re convening a diverse group of innovative minds to act as a positive force for change that we hope will inspire mental and physical wholeness and a greater sense of wellbeing in what is a very complex and ever-changing world.”
The Health to Wealth podcast series was led and developed by Accor wellbeing marketing lead Adélie Fradin and curated by Anni Hood, CEO of WELL Intelligence.
"Accor is taking a powerful step forward to lead a global discourse among some of the world’s boldest thinkers, at a time when the collective wellness of the world has never felt more shaken,” said Hood.
The first four podcast episodes are now available, featuring Wim Hof discussing democratic access to health and the power of the breath.
Meanwhile, Kate Cook addresses the impact of nutritional health on business performance; Saasha Celestial-One outlines her grassroots, real-world response to waste; and Manuel Muniz dives into the subject of technology, its impacts and strategic possibilities.
Available on major streaming platforms, new episodes of the podcast will be added weekly throughout May and June of 2022.
Additional episodes will feature: • Thierry Malleret on wellbeing, changing values and global macro forces. • Oli Patrick and Harry Jameson on fitness, resilience and countering stress. • Olaf Blanke on how our body sense is governed by neuroscience. • Julian Ranger on why everyone should look after their own personal data. • Allie Burns on investing in the entrepreneurs who can make a social impact. • Ali Parsa on virtual doctors and the AI revolution in healthcare.
