Retail group Franchise India Holdings (FIH) has revealed plans to launch a chain of 120 beauty and wellness sites in India under the Spa Siam brand.
FIH is to make an initial investment of INR20m (US$451,800, £250,835, 309,414 euro) with a projected annual revenue of INR50m (US$1.12m, £627,160, 773,610 euro) after the rollout is completed.
The rollout will be managed under FIH’s new venture, Franchise India Brands, in partnership with the Thailand-based Spa Siam company.
The properties – which will be a combination of high-end day spas and luxury concept retail outlets – will stock and sell Spa Siam products and accessories.
Each spa will be focused on delivering a complete package of nature-based skincare products and a wide variety of spa solutions to the Indian consumer.
While all of the spas will provide treatments, some outlets may also offer a combination of retail and basic wellness services, dependent on the location and size of the site.
Speaking about the expansion plans, Gaurav Marya, FIH president, said: “We plan to enter various speciality retailing formats and are starting this process with our entry into the beauty and wellness market with our Spa
Siam partnership.” Details: franchiseindia.com
