Das Central, Sölden has refreshed its spa journey with a new rooftop spa experience
The spa has been updated with a new outdoor infinity pool which appears suspended in mid-air
The refresh is the product of an almost four-year project led by Mika Architectures
A new rooftop spa has been added to modern alpine escape Das Central in the heart of Sölden, high in the Austrian Alps, to refresh the property’s wellness offering.
The new Summit Spa has been added to the existing spa as part of a property-wide overhaul. The update has also added a new lobby, 31 rooms and suites, event spaces, a bistro and bar to the hotel.
The most striking addition to the spa is its new outdoor infinity pool which appears suspended in mid-air and keeps spa guests connected to nature.
The two-floor spa now covers 2,000sq m after an almost four-year project overseen by Mika Architectures.
The vision was to create an extraordinary spa experience high above Sölden's rooftops, where relaxation meets a breathtaking mountain panorama.
Complete with six new treatment rooms, the nature-inspired spa’s design is finished with natural materials and wood furnishings to reflect its alpine setting.
All treatment rooms are fitted with custom-built massage couches designed by Salzburger Tischlerei and interior design company Christine Kroncke.
Additional facilities include saunas, steamrooms, hammams, experience showers, a relaxation room and a Technogym-equipped gym.
Saurwein Schwimbadd Technik and Felder Edelstahl Pools realised the facility’s new pools while Schroll supplied the thermal and wet experiences.
The new spa menu blends modern wellness techniques with timeless relaxation traditions, from rejuvenating facials to holistic body therapies.
The spa’s linen is supplied by Schraml Hoteltextil while software is supplied by TAC.
