The Lake Vyrnwy Hotel in Llandwyddyn, mid-Wales, is to extend its facilities with a new destination spa, which is scheduled to open in July.
The spa will comprise two treatment rooms and a 2,540sq ft (235sq m) thermal suite consisting of a spa pool, sauna, salt inhalation room, rasul, ice cave and monsoon shower.
General manager of the hotel, Anthony Rosser, said: “The introduction of a spa was a natural development for the hotel. It is an excellent fit and further enhances the guest experience while helping our aim of becoming a destination resort in our own right.”
Dalesauna’s interior designer, Lynn Russell-Hanson, helped with the design of the thermal suite, creating a clean and simple look, with other areas of the spa incorporating natural stone features to ensure it remained in keeping with the rest of the hotel.
The Lake Vyrnwy Hotel is a Victorian country house hotel with 35 guest rooms and boasts panoramic views of Lake Vyrnwy.
