Cairo’s largest spa, the Daniela Steiner Spa and Wellness Centre, opened at the Four Seasons at Nile Plaza hotel in Egypt last month.
Managed by Daniela Steiner, the spa has 15 treatment rooms – including a couple’s suite – a sauna, steamroom, whirlpool and a relaxation area.
The entire fifth floor of the hotel has been dedicated to the spa and therapies are centred on local signature treatments but also include a range of traditional massages and therapies.
The Pharaonic massage uses aromatic poultices filled with fresh chamomile dipped into warm essential oils to soothe tired muscles, while the Bedouin treatment is a body scrub using sand from the Sahara desert.
An enriching milk and honey bath – the Cleopatra treatment – is also available.
Other treatments include aromatherapy, reflexology, Swedish and Thai massages, volcanic clay treatment and a crystal bath.
Guests of the spa have the use of four swimming pools, a pool bar and grill and an outdoor terrace offering several private pool cabanas.
The 366-room hotel is located in the city’s Garden City district – the hub for Cairo’s business and diplomatic life – and is aimed at the luxury business market.
Facilities at the hotel include seven restaurants and 20,721sq ft of function and meeting space.
