Pure Massage launches training courses for trainers
By Lauren Heath-Jones 12 Jul 2019
The training will be offered to spa therapists to expand their skillsets
Pure Massage, a spa training method founded by Beata Aleksandrowicz, has launched a series of targeted education courses, devised specifically for massage trainers, that will enable them to deliver optimal massage training experiences every time.

It is designed to equip trainers with the skills to help them engage with therapists and give them skills beyond massage techniques and is available in four distinct options: Method, Advanced, Knowledge and Basics, for international spa and hotel groups and product houses.

The Method training spans 16 days and teaches trainers how to develop optimal massage treatments and how to deliver those treatments in a way that is beneficial to both the client and the trainers themselves. The course will be based on three pillars: coaching, emotional intelligence and self-care and will cover three Pure Massage treatments: back and body, face massage and pregnancy. Training will also include personal development plans, wellness guidance follow-up and post-training support.

The Advanced programme takes place over 10 intensive days and focuses on the back and body massage. Participants will develop their emotional intelligence and learn techniques to deliver a more intuitive, better quality massage, while the Knowledge course offers certification and takes place over the course of three days. It focuses on mental, physical and emotional self-care, as well as postural awareness, effective communication and prevention of burnout and injury. Both courses include personal development plans and wellness guidance.

The Basics is a four-hour workshop that looks at the essentials such as staying motivated and keeping healthy. It is designed to boost confidence and commitment.

Also on offer is an Annual Bootcamp programmed for trainers who have completed any of the training courses. The two-day workshop is billed as a 'reboot', allowing trainers to refocus and reset their goals. The Bootcamp is tailored to the needs of each group and features both group exercises and one-to-one coaching.

Aleksandrowicz said: "I recognised a need in the industry for an advanced programme which would enable trainers to educate, instruct and deliver optimum massage training each and every time."

"The various levels of education that can be offered to spas and hotel groups will equip the trainers with unique skills, beyond massage techniques. This unique training will help them to connect with their therapy teams and work to transform therapists to a whole new level of self-awareness. I am very proud to be able to offer this platform to hotel groups and product houses as I believe it offers the very best there is."
