Final plans for a mixed-use development called the Regatta scheme on the Pantai Mutiara Canal Estate in Jakarta, Indonesia, have been revealed.
The overall 1.1 million sq ft (99,000sq m) development – owned by Badan Kerjasama Mutiara Buana – will comprise an arch-shaped, five-star hotel surrounded by 10 towers.
The 320-bedroom hotel will feature a health and spa centre and a 1,000-capacity ballroom.
The hotel’s four restaurants will include a dining area 480ft (148m) above ground level as well as a 21,500sq ft (2,000sq m) sky lobby.
The Regatta will also feature a 275,500sq ft (25,600sq m) landscaped waterpark.
Construction of the first phase of development – of four residential towers – is scheduled to be completed by December 2007.
Design director, Tom Wright, said: “The ‘Regatta’ development follows a nautical theme. Residential towers signify tall ships sailing around a hotel designed to represents a lighthouse.” Details: www.atkinsglobal.com
