A new US$3m (2.2m euro, £1.5m) spa has been added to the facilities at the Outrigger on the Lagoon hotel on the Coral Coast in Fiji.
Launching last month, the Bebe Spa uses Pevonia Botanica products and is positioned on the top of a hill known locally as Vakalomalagi, overlooking the Coral Coast.
Each of the seven spa treatment rooms are suspended from the main building and open out onto open-air balconies, all featuring ‘showers in the sky’ while four of the balconies also boast hydrotherapy tubs and a full range of complementing treatments.
The design for Bebe – which is Fijian for ‘butterfly’ – was inspired by centuries-old techniques used in Fiji. Features include traditional thatching, hand-carved doors and tapa-lined high ceilings.
A Spa Bar, which includes conversation ‘pits’ and offers sunset views across the coastline and a wedding chapel have also been added to the new development.
