A luxury new spa has opened within a large yacht harbour development called The Landings in Rodney Bay, St Lucia.
Operated by the US-based company RockResorts, the spa cost US$2.5m (1.6m euro, £1.28m) to build and covers 7,000sq ft (650.3sq m).
The spa includes eight treatment rooms, a wet treatment room, two facial rooms, five luxury treatment rooms, a steamroom, whirlpool and three hydrotherapy terraces.
Locally-inspired treatments use island fruits as well as certified organic botanicals. Each signature treatment uses a combination of St Lucian-sourced ingredients such as vanilla, ginger, cinnamon and boise bande bark. Other spa product brands used include Epicurean, JF Lazartigue, Spa Rituals and Susan Posnick.
The spa menu offers more than 40 treatments, including three signature therapies, as well as a menu for younger guests and one for men.
Under the direction of Helen Lugo, the spa will cater to all age groups and is aiming for a 30/70 split between men and women.
The Landings development spans 19 acres and nearly 800ft (243.8m) of the island’s beachfront. Details: landings.rockresorts.com
