Swiss cellular skincare brand, Swiss Perfection, has been acquired by South Korean developer and distributor of beauty, fashion and lifestyle brands, Shinsegae International.
According to Swiss Perfection, the acquisition will move the company to the next level with the aim to transform its reputation into a globally renowned B2C skincare brand.
The process will include increasing the brand’s retail footprint within South Korea, subsequently penetrating the Chinese market, and gradually expanding the brand’s presence worldwide. Monika Kolakowska, Swiss Perfection CEO, commented: “With its unique heritage and over 20 years of know-how in cutting-edge skincare, our ambition was to intensify our efforts and to develop our growth potential. Today, we are proud to be part of one of the major players in the global skincare sector.”
Shinsegae International has over 30 years of experience in importing luxury brands into the Korean market, such as Eve Lom, Natura Bisse, Hourglass and Diptyque, and also specialises in the development of its own in-house brands – this includes cosmetics brand VIDIVICI and Korean herb-based skincare brand Yunjak.
The developer is an affiliate of the Shinsegae Group, a retail conglomerate in South Korea, known for its department stores, hypermarket, duty-free and property businesses.
Swiss Perfection has announced the company will still continue to strongly identify with its deeply-rooted values of Swiss essence, craftsmanship and excellence.
The company is a member of SwissCos – Association for the Protection of the Origin of Swiss Cosmetics – and guarantees its customers 100 per cent Swiss-made products, formulated in adherence with Swiss traditions and know-how.
Claimed to be the first brand to apply plant cell extraction technology to cosmetics, Swiss Perfection is well-known for its signature Cellular Active IRISA complex which is the foundation of all of its products. The compound is obtained from the root of Iris Germanica which accelerates the skin cell regeneration, increases tissue-oxygenation, encourages optimal hydration, stimulates cell metabolism and enhances the skin’s natural renewal process.
