Transformative wellness destination with a focus on ayurveda and medical aesthetics set for Goa
By Jane Kitchen 10 Apr 2019
Set along the shores of the Arabian Sea, King's Mansion will focus on mindfulness, transformation, recovery and wellbeing
A new luxury wellness destination with a focus on ayurvedic philosophies, state-of-the-art medical aesthetics and holistic wellbeing will open this December in Goa, India.

Set along the shores of the Arabian Sea, King’s Mansion will also combine heritage, architecture and design, and offer a range of personalised, results-focused wellness programmes, designed to help guests rejuvenate, reset and recover.

Behind the project are Indian entrepreneur Sachiin Joshi, chair of Viiking Ventures, which works across various industries including film production, fin-tech and charter aviation; Moss Wellness, a leading spa consultancy with experience developing international five-star brands including Aman resorts and Four Seasons; and Rajiv Parekh, founder of Red Architects.

Located in northern Goa, King’s Mansion is a collaboration of old and new, combining modernity and innovation with ancient Ayurvedic philosophies. The defining experience of King’s Mansion is one of mindfulness, transformation, recovery and wellbeing.

To achieve holistic longevity, guests of King’s Mansion are encouraged to build healthier relationships with themselves and others; step out of their comfort zones and adopt ancient medicines, new practices and knowledge; travel solo and experience complete freedom in a foreign destination; connect to nature and reignite their senses; and embrace change and sustainable growth.

Ayurvedic philosophies are the core principle of King’s Mansion, while yogic education and guided meditation will play a key role in helping guests practice mindfulness, feel at peace, and move closer towards sustainable recovery.

The on-site Ayurvedic Centre at King’s Mansion is run by a team of trained and licensed ayurvedic doctors and therapists, and boasts 12 traditional ayurvedic treatment suites, eight of which are ocean-side.

On arrival, guests are given a consultation by the medical ayurvedic doctor, before receiving a personalised nutrition plan based on their specific needs and goals. Each programme is tailored to the individual guest and includes an ayurvedic medical treatment strategy and a list of therapies and experiences for their stay, such as Abhyanga Shirodara, which helps stimulate circulation, improve clarity of mind and boost energy, and Sarvanga Swedana, designed to relax and detoxify.

The spa at King’s Mansion includes five luxury spa suites, a large hydrotherapy pool, and indoor and outdoor relaxation areas, and is designed to be a place where guests can discover a safe space to surrender, gain awareness and achieve conscious rest and peace.

The menu includes international, relaxing, and physio-based massage therapies; experiential facial treatments using chemical-free, therapeutic grade essential oils; and European results-focused facial treatments, combining active ingredients and high-technology practiced by internationally trained team of therapists.

Other treatments include a Vichy water massage, crystalus body massages, age-defying facials, and chakra balancing.

The Aesthetic Medicine Centre will offer innovative solutions, techniques and technologies, drawing upon years of expertise in the advancing field of preventive and restorative aesthetics.

Here, guests have access to an on-site medical aesthetics doctor, who offers guests full aesthetic consultations. The property’s four luxury treatment rooms provide a space to undergo a broad range of personalised, non-surgical treatments such as botox, fillers, coolsculpting and ultherapy.

Kings Mansion will include 17 luxury suites set over 2,800sq m, with floor to ceiling windows, private gardens and marbled ensuite bathrooms.

Five dining and social areas offer guests the chance to explore India’s ayurvedic culinary culture and international fusions. King’s Mansion’s chefs will create daily menu plans for internal health and harmony, and food will be cooked using fresh, locally sourced produce, with options to dine at the Chef’s Table, and enrol in workshops and lectures from experts on nutrition, ayurvedic food preparation, and sustainable wellbeing.

Modern yet sympathetic architecture and interior design are key elements at King’s Mansion that not only honour Goa’s legacy and culture, but also serve as a welcoming nod to the growing international interest in India as an exciting and evolving luxury destination.

A minimum seven-night trip at King’s Mansion will start from approximately $15,000 per week, per person, and include private transfers, private butler service, tailored Dosha menu, daily juices and teas, consultation with ayurvedic doctor, consultation with aesthetic doctor, daily group yoga, movement and meditation.
