Bürgenstock Hotels & Resort Lake Lucerne has announced a new partnership with globally recognised german aesthetics doctor Dr Barbara Sturm, bringing her skincare line and treatment offering to its Alpine Spa.

The Bürgenstock Alpine Spa is designed as a tranquil 10,000sq m sanctuary of vitality and relaxation set in a striking mountain-top location overlooking Lake Lucerne.

Sturm is renowned for her anti-inflammatory philosophy and non-surgical anti-ageing skin treatments which have achieved cult status with skincare devotees and celebrities worldwide.

Her science-based product line, Dr Barbara Sturm Molecular Cosmetics, is formulated as the perfect combination of scientifically based aesthetic medicine and highly effective plant extracts.

For lasting impact, guests can purchase products from the Dr Barbara Sturm Molecular Cosmetics line at the Alpine Spa to continue their skincare regime at home.

The Alpine Spa’s new menu of facial treatments from Sturm’s line includes:

Signature Glow Facial (60 minutes) – 418CHF (€385, £329, US$456)
A comprehensive facial incorporating cleansing, extractions, exfoliating and a firming facial massage. It targets key areas of concern to tone the facial muscles and lift and define the cheekbones and jaw for firmer, smoother and youthful-looking skin.

Super Anti-Ageing Facial with Microneedling (90 minutes) – 418CHF (€385, £329, US$456)
This facial is designed to replenish moisture reservoirs resulting in a smoother and more youthful complexion while promoting the skin’s natural barrier function and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Clarifying Facial (60 minutes) – 274CHF (€252, £216, US$299)
The Clarifying Facial treatment was created to combat adult acne, targeting skin prone to blemishes and breakouts. It contains complexion-perfecting ingredients, non-oily hydration, skin barrier function protection, and anti-ageing compounds.

This treatment is said to reduce irritating bacteria and redness on the skin while also stimulating the production of the sebaceous glands for lasting effects.

Brightening Facial (60 minutes) – 274CHF (€252, £216, US$299)
The Brightening Facial is a non-aggressive treatment designed to brighten the appearance of dull or tired skin and combat uneven complexions. Cress sprout extract is incorporated to brighten the skin and diminish the appearance of dark and yellowish spots, while ginseng extract supports the skin’s own protection against free radicals and environmental stress.

Men’s Facial (60 minutes) – 274CHF (€252, £216, US$299)
Customised to the specific needs and challenges of men’s skin, this treatment cleanses, tones, soothes and comforts irritated skin, removes rough or dry skin and promotes skin regeneration, while also fighting signs of ageing, under-eye discolouration and puffiness.

Darker Skin Tones Facial (60 minutes) – 274CHF (€252, £216, US$299)
The Darker Skin Tones facial is tailored to the unique characteristics of darker skin tones. It nourishes the skin, reduces internal irritation to which darker skin tones are particularly sensitive, and targets hyperpigmentation. Extracts of magnolia and African whitewood bark refine the pores, reduce sebum flow and supply intense moisture.
