Luxury skincare brand La Prairie has released a new 24 hour anti-ageing product to combat wrinkles.

La Prairie’s scientists claim that there are three types of wrinkles: expression lines, gravity related creases and folds, those caused by UV exposure.

The Line Interception Power Duo is designed to target all three types, and is made up of a day and night cream stored in a dual-barrelled, one pump bottle.

The creams work by targeting wrinkles at their inception, to prevent them from forming, and smoothing out those that have already appeared.

The day cream targets UV induced wrinkles and expression lines, and contains SPF 30, UVA and IRA protection to prevent fine lines and wrinkles developing.

To prevent the formation of expression lines the day cream is formulated with three specialised peptides. These peptides inhibit the signalling pathway that sends repeated messages to facial muscles to contract, thus preventing new wrinkles from forming.

The night formula is intended to tackle wrinkles caused by a combination of ageing skin and gravity.

Formulated with anti-wrinkle peptides the night cream is designed to support proteasome activity to optimise skin renewal and stimulate the production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid.

La Prairie claims that two weeks of continued use is all it takes for fine lines and deep wrinkles to fade, leaving skin smooth and line free.
