Revolutionising recovery: Starpool introduces Recovery Class
By Megan Whitby 30 Aug 2024
Recovery Class: the new dimension of post-training recovery Credit: Starpool
Starpool has developed the innovative Recovery Class to meet the evolving recovery needs of athletes and business and leisure travellers who prioritise health and wellbeing.

The inspiration for Recovery Class stemmed from Starpool's experience working alongside major international sports organisations – such as the NBA, the LA Rams and the 49ers – to support the psycho-physical recovery of athletes and active guests.

The new system includes a range of cutting-edge technologies aimed at optimising physical recovery and wellbeing.

It features three main components:

1. Heat Therapy: Utilising Finnish Saunas and infrared therapy, this component leverages heat to enhance training effectiveness, improve performance and aid recovery. The Sport Sauna provides intense dry heat, while the Sport Infrared Cabin offers deep heat through infrared rays for muscle relaxation.

2. Dry Float Therapy: Zerobody Dry Float allows users to experience the benefits of floatation without getting wet. This therapy reduces muscle tension, promotes blood flow and supports psycho-physical recovery by simulating the effects of weightlessness.

3. Cold Therapy: Cold treatments include Ice Bath pro and Zerobody Cryo. Ice Bath pro provides an immersive cold water experience for muscle recovery and pain relief, while Zerobody Cryo offers a dry, non-invasive alternative to traditional cryotherapy, utilising a patented water membrane for a controlled cold therapy exposure.

Recovery Class includes functional programmes for physical performance and injury prevention and personal health programmes for stress management and improved sleep.

By incorporating these elements, hotels can differentiate themselves in the market, attract discerning clients and demonstrate a commitment to health and wellbeing.

Riccardo Turri, CEO Starpool, said: “At Starpool, we stay at the forefront of wellness by continually embracing the latest innovations and adapting to the ever-changing needs of our clients.

“After dedicating more than 45 years to promoting a healthy lifestyle and drawing on our extensive experience with major sports organisations, we’re thrilled to introduce Recovery Class – a state-of-the-art recovery solution crafted from our leading wellness innovations.”
