Chenot's Italian retreat debuts new look following renovation

Five-star hotel L’Albereta in Lombardy, Italy, has reopened the doors to its Chenot Espace wellness facility following a comprehensive make-over
It is the only medical and wellness spa signed by Chenot in Italy and has been recently named as “Italy’s Best Spa Day 2023” at the World Spa Awards
Complete with new interiors, the spa is equipped with a sauna, a hammam, a solarium, a beauty center and a Jacuzzi
Medical health and wellness operator Chenot’s flagship Italian spa at the L’Albereta hotel has undergone an extensive refurbishment and launched new programming and diagnostic testing.

Founded by the late Henri Chenot, the Chenot Group* is responsible for developing the Chenot Method, a programme that aims to protect the body from damage, the build-up of toxins and premature ageing.

The method comprises an amalgamation of treatments and nutritional advice and blends the principles of Chinese healing with advanced Western medicine.

The new-look Chenot Espace at L’Albereta is the only medical and wellness spa partnered with Chenot in Italy and is located in a 19th-century villa set in the vineyards of Franciacorta. The 2,000sq m space’s make-over included the restoration of the spa’s first two floors and its Chenot restaurant.

The overhaul has updated the spa, medical cabins, public areas and spa reception with a new look characterised by Chenot’s signature cool-toned palette of ivory, beige and taupe, complemented by understated natural materials.

The gym has also been expanded to create additional space for human performance diagnostics and treatment, as well as being refreshed with Technogym’s latest equipment.

Spa facilities include a central pool area, a sauna, a hammam, a solarium, a beauty centre and a Jacuzzi.

New treatments
As part of the overhaul, the Chenot Espace has been updated with new diagnostic treatment options. The methods aim to help guests unlock and achieve their physical potential, allowing them to leave in their best condition.

These include:
• Skin collagen thickness assessments.
• Stress tests (HRV analysis) with HRV biofeedback training.
• Physiotherapy treatments.
• Neuro-acoustic deep relaxation treatments.
• Intermittent hypo/hyperoxygen exposure treatments.
• Personalised Chenot facial treatments.
• Chenot energetic foot massages.

The property’s signature Chenot wellness retreats have also been redesigned to achieve optimal results for detoxification, rebalance and fitness.

The programmes include:
Advanced Detox, six days/seven nights – €5,195 (US5,663, £4,475).
Cleanse & Rebalance, three days/four nights – €3,095 (US$3,374, £2,666).
De-stress & Re-charge, four days/five nights – €3,710 (US$4,045, £3,196).
Fitness Boost, three days/four nights – €2,595 (US$2,829, £2,235).

*The Chenot Group portfolio
The Chenot Group currently operates 5 facilities, referred to as Chenot Wellness Centres, across Europe and Asia.

They are overseen by a team of doctors and therapists and are divided into the following categories:

Chenot Palace Health Wellness Retreats, what the industry might classify as true destination spas, are luxury environments with a wellness spa and medical clinic which are dedicated to delivering the Chenot Method in its entirety.

Destinations include:
• Chenot Palace Health Wellness Hotel Gabala (Azerbaijan).
• Chenot Palace Weggis (Switzerland).

Espace Chenot Health Wellness Spas are cure-based centres in luxury hotels and resorts where guests can experience Chenot’s signature cures.

This includes:
• Espace Chenot at L’Albereta Relais & Chateau (Erbusco, Italy).
• Chenot Espace One&Only Portonovi (Montenegro).
• Chenot Spa Selman Marrakech (Morocco).
